10 of the Best Reasons to Re-Watch the 2015 Grammy Awards (Many Include Pharrell Williams)

Even though the Grammy Awards just aired, there were a few moments worth a second look. These are the interesting highlights, best performances, and the strangest outfits that will be on replay for the next few weeks.

Pharrell Williams and "Hands up, Don't Shoot"

Pharrell Williams and "Hands up, Don't Shoot"
Pharrell Williams included a #blacklivesmatter tribute to his performance at the Grammy awards. He used his platform to keep the incredibly important message in the limelight while he performed "Happy". Dancers wore hoodies and raised their hands with the "hands up, don't shoot" message in mind.
Taylor Swift's Dancing....and Pharrell Williams' Reaction to it.
Taylor gets a lot of grief for her dancing, and I'm pretty sure I've had people look at me the same way Pharrell was looking at her while dancing. It's funny anyway.
Pharrell Williams (again) and his Moonwalk Attempt
Even the best of the best have their awkward moments. This was a very, very awkward moment. Still, it was so loveable, and so watchable.

Sia on the Red Carpet

Sia on the Red Carpet
Sia showed up with dancer Maddie Ziegler in massive matching wigs. Why? Sia has claimed before that she'd rather not be famous, so maybe Maddie is her face to the world. I'm into it anyway.

Rihanna's Dress

Rihanna's Dress
6 year old me is screaming inside right now. I would have worn this dress everyday. Rihanna really is the only one that can go from sheer and see-through to fairy-tale princess and not blink and eye. She does because she can.

New Lady Gaga

New Lady Gaga
Lady Gaga looked more glam than her usual show up in a meat suit or weird womb like shell kind of style. I guess she got bored of her old self.
Obama Talks About Domestic Abuse and Sexual Assault, Katy Perry adds it to her Performance
Obama took the very public opportunity of the Grammy awards to talk about the issue of domestic violence and sexual assault many women face every day. Katy Perry was then introduced by Brooke Axtell, an activist and domestic abuse survivor who gave an amazing speech. Katy Perry stepped out on stage beautifully in the absence of her usual colourful sets.
Annie Lennox and Hozier
Annie Lennox killed it during her duet for "Take Me to Church" with Hozier. It sent chills down the spine of anyone within ear shot. The song will never be the same, and I will forever hear her voice, and expect her voice, in the song.

Madonna

Madonna
Fittingly, Miley Cyrus and Nicki Minaj introduced Madonna to the stage. The introduction involved the words "badass" and "trouble-making" to describe her, which is exactly why we are still so into this woman. She pushed boundaries and broke barriers for future pop stars like Miley and Nicki. Oh yeah, and the performance was cool too.

Beck?

Beck?
As soon as he took the stage to receive his award, 16 year olds everywhere shouted "Beck who?!" In an eye-opening win, Beck beat Beyonce, Pharrell, and Ed Sheeran for album of the year.
