Top family-friendly activities in Bangkok - Holiday fun for the whole family

Bangkok is generally thought of as an adult's only city, but in fact, the city has several family-friendly activities to offer. Here are just a few of the top family-friendly activities to try.

1

Kidzania - pick up a new skill

That's the question you will find yourself asking your kids when you get to Kidzania. Located inside the department store, Kidzania offers over 100 activities which allow kids of all ages to experience different job requirements. They can learn to make hamburgers, expertly roll sushi, or even bottle a coke. The choices here are endless and sure to keep kids entertained for hours. In addition, the process of learning new skills helps to teach kids to work together, social skills, and responsibly.

2

Dream World - experience the joys of winter any time of the year

Located on the outskirts of the city, Dream World is amusement park themed around winter and has several attractions to suit all ages. Teens will enjoy thrilling rides like the Skycoaster and the Hurricane which are fast-paced rides with incredible drops. Younger children have their choice of bumper boats, car rides and a sightseeing train. There are also several water rides such as the Grand Canyon if you want to cool off, or, everyone's favourite, Snow Town. An indoor play area with real snow, where you can sledge down a hill, have snow fights or relax while building a snowman. Visitors are provided with warm jackets, so you don't have to bring your own. Other than a complicated bus route, there's no other public transport that goes directly to the park. The best way to visit is to organise a car with any of the reputable hotels in Bangkok Thailand.

Flight Experience Bangkok - Learn to fly like the pros

If you've ever wanted to know what it was like to fly a commercial airline, Flight Experience Bangkok is where you need to be. The aviation entertainment centre provides visitors with the unique opportunity to fly a Boeing 737-800NG flight simulator. This experience is great for both teens and adults - for a nominal fee, much lower than in most other countries, you can practice flying from one city to another, flying around a particular landmark or taking-off and landing. If you already have flight simulator experience, you can add some challenges to your flight like flying through turbulence weather or learning to program flight patterns on autopilot.

Siam Ocean World

One of the biggest underground aquariums in the region, Siam Ocean World is home to over 30,000 marine creatures from all over the world, including sharks, octopus, seals, stingrays and more. Located near several large hotels in Bangkok, such as Chatrium Hotels & Residences, for example, the central location and impressive displays make the aquarium a great place for a day out. Inside, there is 7 enclosures for different environments such as Living Ocean, Deep Reef and Sea Jellies. Walking around the displays are fascinating enough, but if you want to get even closer to the marine life, Ocean World provides visitors with the opportunity to dive into the oceanarium with an instructor.

Bounce Bangkok

Bounce Bangkok is a dedicated trampoline and climbing park for adults and kids aged 3 and above. The park is home to several large trampolines, some of which are angled, which allow visitors to practice their crazy jumps and stunts. Crash mats are provided around all maps to ensure safety.
